When the Jo Malone Advent Calendar – even at £250 – goes live on 10th November I think we’re going to see a very undignified beauty scrum! If you thought the Benefit Advent Calendar scramble was bad… wait for this! I’ll flag it up as soon as I find it live, but good luck!
So, I thought I’d flag up something else that I’m pretty sure will disappear in a matter of moments, just so you’re prepared! Remember, this is the brand that has a queue round the block coming up to Christmas just to get into the shop.
The Jo Malone Scented Bauble doubles as both room fragrance and tree ornament – it’s a really pretty one, too with plenty of shine on a red, bowed ribbon. This would slip onto my tree very easily indeed! Sadly, you don’t get it served up by Mr Fancy Satin Pants. There are two variants – one in the Pine & Eucalyptus (which practically IS the smell of Christmas now in my house) and Frosted Cherry & Clove. Frosted Cherry is a bit of wishful thinking in reality – it’s more clove than cherry and quite what a frosted cherry would smell like, I can’t imagine. Probably of nothing at all. Nonetheless, it’s suitably festive.
Here’s what it looks like inside – I guess after Christmas you can remove it from the bauble to get the last of the scent for the remaining winter but don’t leave it anywhere that someone could mistake it for a left-over fancy chocolate…!

Oo-er those fancy satin pants are very tight…!! Also I can’t quite imagine what Frosted cherry & clove smell like…
Another one for the Xmas shopping list. I know it’s only October but I’m already burning my Xmassy candles. What with the clocks going back and this wild Scottish weather, it seems very apt.
