Jo Malone London Raspberry Ripple Cologne Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Summer iterations of fragrances tend to be disappointingly uncreative – a ‘lighter’ version of the original perhaps or a very vague waft of citrus somewhere. Jo Malone London Raspberry Ripple Cologne, however, is going fully in on summer with a proper burst of juicy raspberry that is so immediately fruity that it takes you by surprise.

The secret sauce in Raspberry Ripple is that, thrilling as it is on first smell, that raspberry rush transforms to a beautiful, creamy, woody musk where the fruit gently roams. Raspberry might be the main character but it’s supporting act is redcurrant and blackcurrant – they’re what allow the raspberry to bring all it’s fruitiness to the fore and give it the zing it deserves.

Of course, Jo Malone London Raspberry Ripple isn’t just about the joy of fruit – there are green notes that temper the juice and stop it turning into a gourmand fragrance and the muskiness is soft and sexy. In fact, now I think of it, you’re getting the best of both worlds with this cologne; the euphoria and vibrancy of ripened raspberry followed by a calmer, softer mood that settles the emotions and calms the soul.  It’s £59 for 30ml HERE.
