It’s no secret that I love just about anything Jo Loves. This season, the brand has gone small-size with the Jo Loves Christmas Shot Boxes – a selection of mini-goodies to fragrance body and home. Jo Loves is firmly a luxury brand – so expect prices to reflect that. But, oh, the scents are beautiful. Above is one of two Candle Shot Boxes, £60. This one contains three 70g candles with scents of Salted Caramel, Fig Trees and Charcoaled Lemons. Charcoaled Lemons is the most unusual – a very zesty top note with – well, charcoal, ashy accents. I hope it becomes a fragrance in the main line because it is gorgeous.
I think Pomelo Bathing Cologne has been one of my greatest pleasures this year, but I’m fixated with Pomelo anyway. These colognes are high concentrate scented waters that you add into a hot bath and let the steam catch the perfume to surround you in fragrance. Mine ran out a long time ago but I remember that it gently perfumed the whole house for the evening. A Shot of Bath Cologne Box is £45.
If I was to pick out any of the boxes for myself, I’d probably pick A Bathing Shot Box, £40. It’s Pomelo Bath Cologne and a lemongrass candle (although my preference would be a Pomelo candle. too!).
