[purchase] I’ve wanted to try Isamaya products for a long time and when I saw that there was a 70% off ‘archive’ sale, I didn’t hesitate to pay £10 for the Isamaya Lash Lasso Mascara which is normally around the £35 mark. I’ve just been served the ad for the Archive sale and it looks like it’s going to be on for the next few days at least but you’ll need to follow Isamaya (@isamayabeauty) to be served the offer. If you don’t know Isamaya Ffrench, she’s a rising star on the make up artist circuit and incredibly talented.
I genuinely don’t think I’ll own a better looking mascara than this one. I love the packaging design and that it looks like no other mascara I’ve ever seen. I’d never lose it, that’s for sure!
My problem lies with the brush – I’m not a fan of a fluffy brush like this one because they only seem to wipe over the top of my lashes rather than get a full coating. It makes application difficult and it missed the smaller lashes at the edges of my eyes. The formula felt a little bit dry – I like a wetter, looser consistency.
I will always be glad that I bought this but whether I’ll end up using it is another matter. I have enough mascaras that do the coating job better so it’s unlikely. I will say though that the formula is very black – it’s more of a glamour mascara because your lashes will look longer and fatter but it’s too much of an effort for me. If you know your way around a fluffy brush and like that style of application then you may well love it, but it’s just not right for me and it feels like all the money went into the beautiful packaging and not the mascara formula.
