So, I’m around about a month into the challenge with Imedeen to see for myself if I can get any discernible results from taking the skin supplement. I have remembered every single day (bar a couple when I was ill and couldn’t eat anything, not even a supplement!) which is a bit of an achievement in itself.
I bought these collagen sweets in Hong Kong last year (hoarder.. I know.. the tin is too pretty to throw away) and they were actually delicious, but the jury is well and truly out on whether they can actually do anything helpful for your skin. They tasted very lovely though so even if they did nothing, I was still quite happy!
With Imedeen, the epidermis and skin density thickens (apparently!) and becomes like a springy mattress as the collagen matrix is rebuilt, which is a different thing entirely to eating collagen based sweeties. The theory is that it pushes new and better layers of fresh skin cells to the surface. So, I’m really impatient; I can’t say I have seen any results yet but this process is a big job – Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither is my matrix seemingly!
