I’m just going to come right out and say it. Illamasqua lippies are a tad on the drying side. Mainly because they’re so matte, but you need very well conditioned lips to wear them well. The new Illamasque Glamore Lipsticks however, have a satin finish and therefore more oil and less tendency to be drying. This is a brand new formula for Illamasqua and a challenge (according to Alex Box) in trying to get a slip finish without losing pigment intensity.

As you can see, it’s a win for Illamasqua formulators because they’re still the power strength pigments that we are used to from this brand. So, the shade line up is: Soaked, Glissade and Luster. The only way to wear these is with confidence – they’re mega-impact, dramatic and personally, I think, benefit from having a slight sheen to them. Much prettier than matte.
Illamasque Glamore Lipstick will be £16.50 when they launch on 27th February.

I own one lipstick from Illamasque and never wear it because it is just so lovely! Love how vibrant these colours are! The orange looks lush! Bang on trend too!

These look lovely, I really want to try some Illamasqua products, shame there’s not a counter near me 🙁

Gah these Spring release are killing me! All 3 have piqued my interest but I can’t justify them all!
I’m interested in trying this – i’ve got an illamasqua lipstick and because it’s so drying it’s put me off buying any more lipsticks from there. I might have a swatch of these though.

These are so vibrant, love them!
Wow, those colours are absolutely flawless. I think I need them all! I’m now following you on bloglovin’ and also ridiculously tempted to order the lipsticks, I have a feeling your blog is going to be harmful to my purse, haha!

I’m unfortunately one of those people that just can’t wear Illamasqua’s lipsticks because they’re so dry and my lips hate dry formula’s so I’m so excited about these! I think at some point I may definitely have to treat myself to Glissade and possibly Luster as well x
