Illamasqua fans are going to love the newness heading our way. Three new nail polishes and three new lipsticks are working their way along the production line for a 27th February release. First up, the nails and from right to left is Shattered Star Fire Rose, Shattered Star Trilliant and Shattered Star Marquise. Shattered Star refers to the texture – different glitter particles (I’m told the formula looks raised on the nail). Rose is pink with silver while Trilliant is more silver with a tad of pink. Marquise is a rich red-orange shot through with gold. For me, nails are always the main event, but there are three brand new lipsticks to come, too.
There’s no getting away from the fact that Illamasqua lipsticks, because of their matte nature, can be a little drying. So, the new lipsticks, named Glamore, are focussed on a moisturising texture with a satin finish – but still hanging onto the mega-pigment that Illamasqua is known for. So from right to left: Glissade, Soaked and Luster. As you can see from the pictures, all the intensity is there, but with a sheen and hopefully hydration. I’d like to think I will give Soaked a try.. but am a bit of a scaredy with brights!

Niiiiicccceee! As you know this is one of my fave brands ever, always excited to see what they come up with next. Love the look of all of these new items, especially interested in seeing the finish of those nail polishes in real life.
Nice to see a more moisturising lippy from Illamasqua! Have you tried the new Pure Color Lip Envy lipsticks from Estee Lauder? They are DIVINE.

The nail polishes are absolutely beautiful and the lippies are gorgeous, but more the sort of colours to say I owned for kudos, rather then genuinly wear. All the teeth bleach in the world wouldnt save me from looking mustardy with that Luster, beautiful as the bullet is.
I am going to stop buying makeup and wait for these lippies. I must have Glissade and Soaked. I love Illamasqua, they have gorgeous products. I will probably try Shattered Star Fire Rose and Shattered Star Marquise. Two out of three making my must have list, well done, Illamasqua!
