I’m slowly working my way through the new House of Glamdolls Doll Palettes and starting off with Spirit Doll. I haven’t swatched these up because Mikhila over at MsBudgetBeauty has done a great job of that already HERE. It’s been themed really nicely – lots of beautiful colour names such as Peace, Serenity, Zen, Light and Haze (although weirdly, Bark has found its way in there!) so you can get into the mystical mood of it.
There’s a four look leaflet included – it probably would have been more helpful to have some more visual guides rather than just writing, but the little dolls heads at the top of each look give you an indication of what you should be aiming for.
As you can see, there are four lip products in the palette – often, powder and creme aren’t a happy mix in a palette and I wish they’d included a plastic cover strip for the four lipshades so that no powder makes its way in, but aside from that, there are 22 different shades in this which at £8 makes it phenomenal value. House of Glamdolls is under the Freedom label, which itself is part of Makeup Revolution, so if you’re familiar with either of those ranges, it’s all the same quality. The creative on House of Glamdolls Spirit Doll Palette, and the other doll palettes is by David Horne, who you might know better from his days at Illamasqua.
It’s so good to see the budget brands bringing some really strong creative ideas into the makeup arena. You can find all the Doll Palettes HERE.
