British perfumier, Michael Boadi, is bringing home fragrancing up a notch – I’m passionate about scented candles and linen sprays – but am very tempted by The Boadicea The Victorious Aromarizor Chrome Pod that’s about to launch in Harrods. Using perfumed gel cartridges packed with the highest quality fragrant oils, it’s about as far away from a Glade Plug-In that you can get. With each gel cartridge lasting three to four months, and perfumes such as Bluebell, Heliotrope and Jasmine Petals (and 7 others) to choose from, I’m just thinking that a home that smells subtly of bluebells is probably one of the loveliest ways to see in the spring. Although the concept is similar to Jo Malone’s ScentSurround Cube, this somehow seems less obtrusive and more chic in design. The Pod is 95 pounds and cartridges are 35 pounds. Available any minute now from www.harrods.com

Sorry to commit post necrophilia, but I had to comment – the Jo Malone scent surround thing is ugly. Her candles are nice though. I’m intrigued by the Boadicea scents (although a true Briton would surely spell it Boudicca?!)
