Handwash: How Timely

With sales of anti-bacterial handwashes shooting through the roof (oh, for shares in a hand santizer company) thanks to The Swine, I’m opting for the less hysterical approach of washing my hands more regularly and enjoying some beautiful cleansing formulas. First up, Origins Spearmint & Lemon Hand Cleanser, £10.77. Everyone who uses this can’t help putting their newly washed hands to their face for a deep inhalation of peppy spearmint; it’s just delicious and doesn’t dry out the skin (although I notice there is a new matching hand cream). Second is cheap and cheerful Bayliss & Harding Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit, £1.99 (at www.lloydspharmacy.com), where a little goes a long, long way. Lastly, beautiful, refreshing and super luxurious Roger & Gallet soap, £11 for 3, in the original Jean-Marie Farina fragrance: with bergamot and lemon topnotes, the overall scent is classic eau de cologne.
