Hair-Liner: Would You Do The Chanel SS11 Look?

Personally, I absolutely adore the concept of slicking hair down and using eye-liner along the parting – it’s really innovative and quite exciting, but I wonder what the reality of applying it is? And, maybe more importantly, removing it! If you want to give it a go, you would be best to apply some serum to get your hair really sleek before tying it back. There is no hard and fast rule about where the parting needs to go – it would look just as beautiful on the side as it would in the middle, but I think you’d really need to take your hair off your face and keep it bound and the back otherwise you run the risk of someone pointing out you have ‘something in your hair’…the look needs to be dramatic and statement! I’d love to see this look with red liner, purple or a really shocking blue and think it would work especially well on ashy white blond as the contrast would be very marked.

If you decided to give it a go, send me your pic at Britishbeautyblogger@gmail.com and I’ll publish a selection.

They do this in India actually, it’s called Sindoor…

Wow this is so cool, really cartoony and pop-art. I would definately try this, but I’m sure I will look ridiculous with my hair slicked down!

I think this looks good on the runway but I’m not sure it would work in real life…maybe I’m wrong! Would be fun to try it!

Not really my thing, where should the line stop in the back? And I don’t think making a straight line on your head is that easy..
