Guerlain Parure de Lumière Foundation

Guerlain’s newest foundation, launching in October, comes with a fine list of illuminating credentials; not least the Guerlain Luminescent Water. I know, I know, but I cannot help loving the sound of this. Luminescent water is marine spring water drawn from a natural reservoir 22 meters under the sea, making it rich in minerals and trace elements (particularly manganese and silica) which apparently gives it extraordinary hydrating qualities. I’m sold already!

Parure de Lumière is actually packed with skin care qualities and does indeed sound rather special with a gel-cream consistency. I’m really looking forward to trying this one and will report back when I do. It’s £36.50 with an SPF of 25.

  1. Sounds like it might have a similar finish to the YSL – be interesting to compare them. Don’t think I’ve ever tried a Guerlain foundation.

After learning my favourite foundation aka Parure Aqua has been discontinued I’m relieved they’re replacing it with something similar…I just hope they don’t load it up with alcohol…

Do you know if this is going to be launched in North America as well? I’ve been using Lingerie De Peau but I’ve been getting the Asia and main boutique exclusive shade. I know this is already available in Asia, and I’m really interested in trying this out.

    Thanks!

  4. This sounds amazing for dry skin, can’t wait to try it.

It’s very nice foundation – slightly more sheer than Lingerie de Peau, and quite highly scented in comparison, but very nice for the summer months.
