I’m not one to get too excited about ‘same perfume, different bottle’ kind of thing, but the exception lies here. Ever since it first came out, I’ve loved Gucci Guilty – it’s at the very front of my make-up drawer so I use it often. It’s also one of the very few – maybe the only – fragrance that people have stopped me in the street to ask what I’m wearing. I thought that stuff only happened in body spray ads!
So, with the Gucci Guilty Diamond Edition, I suddenly ‘get it’ about same juice, different bottle – this is just gorgeous, a glamour step up and OTT in a good way! There are crystals around the G design for Gucci Guilty Pour Femme and for the Gucci Guilty Pour Homme a more discrete version with two crystal studs. I can definitely say I like it better for the crystals in this instance.
I’m surprised though, to find that GG is described as an oriental floral – to me there’s hardly any spice to it – it’s a big, sweet burst of flowers that makes me smile every time I wear it.

So, if you’re chasing something glitzy to glam up your dressing table, and you love a voluptuous, feminine floral with a sprinkle of sugar, Gucci Guilty Diamond Edition (both for him and for her) launch into The Perfume Shop on 4th February. As you might expect, those ‘diamonds’ don’t come cheap – it’s £53 for her and £62 for him.
