As cushion foundations evolve, more elements are coming into the mix. The Grid Solution Cushion Foundation has the points of difference of being waterproof and SPF50, which ought to make it feel like applying a layer of butter icing to your face, and yet doesn’t.

I’m still such a fan of these although I will admit that one of their main advantages – portability – hasn’t been used to its potential as I don’t think any of mine have actually left the house. New versions of any cushion are interesting to me, and the Grid Solution Cushion Foundation is very much an Asian skin product, if only because for western tones, they’re a little bit too ashy. That said, my tone is difficult when it comes to Asian products.
Grid Solution Cushion FoundationI haven’t full rubbed in the swatch, but texturally, it’s heavier than a non-waterproof but surprisingly light for a waterproof – falling somewhere about medium coverage level in feel. Once blended, it’s fairly seamless. It has an oil control element and runs to matte in coverage.
