I’ll do a swatch post on the Givenchy Ombre Couture Cream Eyeshadows that are launching next month in a day or so, but in the meantime, I’m loving the marketing materials around it. The disc you see above is a wipe-clean, bendy plasticized disc that you can play around with the colours on depending on your own eye colour.

The shades I’m trying out on the eye disc are (from bottom to top) Ombre, Prune Taffetas and Burn Cachemire.

So, yes, while they are going onto a white background, you certainly get an idea of how they look with your eye colour. I could play all day with these! They will be on Givenchy counters, and while it seems like a gimmicky idea, it’s one more step towards making the consumer feel they can stay and play and one more barrier breakdown between the consumer and the product. Great idea!

That’s a really good idea, I’m always worrying about what shadows will work with my eyes as they are so dark I don’t want to end up like a panda when I use dark shadows!
Did you get to try the shadows on yourself? How is the consistency?
