Givenchy Autumn 2014 Le Rouge-A-Porter

The Givenchy Autumn 2014 Le Rouge-A-Porter launches at the very end of September with three nail colours and three lipsticks, all based around pink. But this time, these are not obvious pinks at all – they’re muted, grown-up and sophisticated – a very long way off Barbie pink. In the picture above, we have Rose Satin, Rose Poudre and Framboise Velours.

These shades are exactly what I want to be wearing come autumn. Each one has down-colours that stop them being too bright but they stay the right side of impactful and colour saturated.

It’s a similar story for the Givenchy Autumn 2014 Le Rouge-A-Porter lipsticks – shards of intense colour that are under-brights, if you like; intensely pigmented, butter soft on the lip and beautifully flattering on almost any tone. I couldn’t like these more, to be honest.

The shades of both lip and nail are perfect mixy-matchy – in a good way. Colours from left to right are: Rose Plumetis, Brun Createur and Frambois Velours. I love what Nicolas Degennes is doing with Givenchy – this brand is changing beyond recognition and it’s all to the good, with a Ricardo Tisci aesthetic of studs and leather wraps. It’s the one to watch.

Le Vernis will cost £15 and Le Rouge will be £25.

I love these colours. I know I will be lusting after them all as soon as they are on counter. I love the formula of Givenchy lipsticks and obviously I am powerless against that packaging.
