Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream

I’ve wanted to try this product from Singapore for ages so when it came through the post this morning I got straight to it.

It’s a lovely fluid consistency that gives a mattifying effect to the skin so is far more suitable to those with oily complexions than dry. I’m not personally a fan of mattifiers because they deaden my complexion but I can see this would be very handy for those who want to eliminate shine. On the skin, it actually feels mattifying to the touch but is very lightweight.. a good achievement for an SPF30. The colour does tend to adapt to skin tones; when I first put it on it was far too pale for me but actually as time has gone on it gives an almost bare look allowing my tone to come through a bit more, but still evening out the overall look. As well as controlling oil, this BB gives hydration, something that oily skin still needs (it just doesn’t need more oil) and also (and somewhat obviously) the inclusion of green tea is a good antioxidant boost for the complexion.

It’s £20 but I notice on the website you can email for a free sample which would be an excellent starting place to see if it is right for you. Find Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream here: http://janiro.co.uk/BB-Cream.html

I wonder if there are any real benefits to applying green tea topically to the skin. This is another product I havent heard about so thank you! ahaha… it appears to oxidize once in contact with air which is a great! thing!… I have a hardtime finding the right foundation for my skintone so everytime I come across a foundation that has oxidizing effects I get all excited.

Thank you for sharing this one!…I’m definitely gonna put an order in for a free sample! hehe

  3. I got this today as well; I thought it was too dark for me but it blends amazingly whilst still maintaining good coverage. Obviously I’ve got skin that it’s more suited for and I’m really impressed so far as my skin is playing up at the moment (still blemish-prone but weirdly dry too) and it seems to be keeping both problems at bay xx

  4. sounds great! Love that you can get a sample thats always so helpful!

I was at LHR T3 last week and went searching for a BB cream, there was no knowledge on any of the beauty counters about this product, except for one consultant for Mac who told me it was only available in the Far East. I was also searching for Shu Umera eyelash curlers and nobody had a clue what Shu Umera was. It was a bit disappointing really, surely if you work in beauty you should be a beauty enthusiast?

  13. Thanks for the link to the product site. The gel shown with the cream looks interesting too. I’ve asked if they would send me either product to try.

Thanks for the tip… I just ordered my samples. Can’t wait to try it. 🙂

  15. Ive received a sample and marvel gel and although im still testing the gel because i have a bit mixed feelings, the bb cream is probably the best one ive tried on my skin type. i have pretty clear skin and it does exactly what i want it to plus makes my skin feel really ‘silky’ and doesnt rub off.my face whole day. Im really grateful for discoverin it thru your blog, thanks!:-) xx

  16. I agree with Tereza, after your review I also asked for a sample of both and the BB cream is good, but the marvel gel is just laughable imo. I’m sad that this costs £20 though as you only get 25 ml and it’s actually really good, the best one I’ve tried so far.

    Hi BBB,

Thank you so much for this post (and many many others) … I decided to get a sample after reading about it here & I’m happy with the product BUT given that I’ve got an olive skin tone, again its waaay too light for me 🙁

I know you said it slowly adapts to your skin tone, can you tell me how long it approximately takes to adapt?

  18. Hi Lil Bee.. okay, when I first put it on it was too pale – I’m olivey too but less so in winter – I felt it did adapt to my tone quite well in a very subtle way after half an hour or so, if I remember rightly. I put it on and thought, no it’s too light for me…got distracted and went back a while later and it didn’t look so light. That’s the only way I can explain!

Thank you for the free sample. I will be buying this for a treat for myself. My skin has never felt so smooth.
