[unpaid/sample] There’s a lot to like about Spanish brand Germaine de Capuccini which used to be far more present in the UK than it is now. Founded in 1964, the brand combines the intense maintenance attitude of heritage French skin care with the notion that looking after your face should feel luxurious and spa-worthy. It’s as at home in luxury therapy rooms as it is in your skin care routine at home.
TimeExpert SRNS Repair Night Progress Serum claims to make a difference to the overall texture and look of your complexion within a month – SRNS stands for Synchronised Repair Night Serum. I’ve used it a couple of times – very pleasant, hydrating and silky but don’t have any longer term results to report on this occasion. I can tell you that it’s £136!
I did myself a little facial on Sunday night using the Germaine de Cappuccini Repair Night Progress Sheet Mask (£36 for two – yikes). If there’s one thing I do not like, it’s a wet sheet mask because it’s a bit like wearing a jelly fish on your face (not that I ever have…) but warming it first (in the packet) on the radiator made it much, much better. It’s infused with the serum, which itself is a hot bed of ceramides, Vitamin C, and Hyaluronic Acid, and ‘Glyco-8 Power’ which apparently increases the skin’s ability to absorb the product by 8 times. While I’m not fond of made up names and Glyco-8 Power has me baffled I have to admit that my skin got an absolute drench of moisture that showed up in the form of glow and smoothness the next morning.
There’s nothing glamorous about a sheet mask but if I had a special event to attend and wanted to glow hard I’d definitely consider using the Repair Night Progress Sheet Mask first. Germaine de Capuccini uses all kinds of ‘saggy’ language that none of us ever needs to hear again about our faces but if you’re okay with that, there are some discoveries to be made.
