I’m doing this at the weekend. I’m going to do one strand I think, and have already been advised to back-comb the strand before I apply it so I don’t get an obvious line of paint/no-paint and the look is more graduated.
I had no clue that this stuff lasts for about four washes – I had always just assumed it would wash out the next time. It’s been around for a while, but the next generation hair colours from Fudge are the Urban Hair Chalks coming to Superdrug and Topshop in July.
Fudge Urban ChalkThey’ll be £5.99 each.

You have to bleach your hair pretty much white for the blue to take. It may turn slightly greeny on brown hair if not processed.
I’ve used Fudge Paintbox on my hair and used Blueberry Hill… It says on the tube 3 to 30 washes… Mine lasted for 3 months!!! I LOVED it and my hair wasn’t bleached up either – I had a few bleached highlights that was it – they of course lasted longer.
It really depends on the hair and how porous it is.
Good luck, looking forward to seeing it! 😉 x
ooh.. 3 months.. now I’m having doubts!
This looks a stunning shade! don’t worry about the three months too much – blue tends to last the shortest amount of time in the hair and you can always do a vitamin c hair mask if it lasts longer than you want 🙂
I’ve got a bright pink slice of hair and was wondering if the hair chalks could be used on your eyebrows?
I’ve found that blue shades do not budge. Like at all. I have just bleached my hair again after having dip dye blue and purple tips for months, but the blue is still hanging on in there! My hair is very, errr.. ‘porous’ (trashed, bleached, processed) though, so on natural healthy hair it might not stain so bad 🙂
