I’m sure most of us are up against it in the run up to Christmas, but one of the reasons I’m particularly pressed at the moment is because I’ve gone back to journalism (temporarily) and am writing for the Financial Times How To Spend It on-line. My section looks at luxury beauty products – some you might see popping up on the blog, but some you won’t – so please do follow me there; I feel like I need your back-up! On Twitter, it’s @htsi and on Instagram it’s @ft_howtospendit.
It’s a bit of a challenge getting back to a more formal presentation and it’s taking me longer than I thought to get used to the meticulousness that is needed when you have an editor checking your work. I’m so relaxed and confident writing for this site now, know exactly the kinds of things you would like or want to know about, and can really be myself, knowing that a looser writing style is forgiven. HTSI is an entirely different audience and I’m still finding my feet and second-guessing how they’d like to be spoken to. But, I do love this foray into the unknown and sometimes you have to ring the changes…. perhaps just not in December!
