Friday Treat : Ladder Christmas Trees

[unpaid/purchase/affiliate] I spotted these ladder trees a couple of weeks ago in John Lewis and just thought them a genius idea. Inner city living usually finds us struggling for space – I gave up a real tree because finding one narrow enough to fit nicely into the one space we have that’s not occupied proved increasingly hard. I bought a realistic artificial one that tapers perfectly well and doesn’t look stuffed in the corner.

Ladder Tree

You just hang this on any wall space you want and the bare bones of decorations are already there for you to further embellish as you please.

There’s a silver option or a gold option but I don’t suppose it matter very much because after you’ve wound some ivy and lights around it and added your bits and bobs it would be much of a muchness. If you’re handy, you could even knock one up for yourself. I’m going to give Max and Lucy the option of one each for their flats but since they both still come home for Christmas I think they think here is where Christmas actually happens. I just thought for anyone short on space but really wanting to have some sort of a ‘tree’, this is such a great option. You can even pile the presents underneath. They’re £25 each HERE from John Lewis.

Mon Cheri

A quick update on the Mon Cheri sweater I bought from New Look – I’m really delighted with it. It’s loose and roomy in a size M, perfectly cosy and is a good partner for my silver jeans. It’s £27.99 HERE. Spot the photobomb from Dora!

  1. That’s such a good idea Jane, and thank you for being aware of a variety of circumstances, I’m delighted for people who are doing well in life and have a huge country pile with three trees, but we’re not all in those circumstances!

      Exactly this!

Great space-saving idea! Last year I also saw literally half a tree – artificial Xmas tree with one side flat that you can place to the wall 🙂

I saw those too but I think I prefer these ladders.
