Friday Treat : Acrylic Cocktail Glasses

[unpaid/affiliate] I’m away in Rome at the moment – most of what you read on this site is freshly written but occasionally I have to schedule a few posts. Given that at the time of writing I’m hoping that I’ll be sitting in an Italian square sipping a cocktail by the time this goes out, I thought I’d flag up these amazing (and practical) cocktail glasses I saw at Anthropologie.

Me and Mr BBB once made some lychee cocktails when we had a party – they were absolutely delicious and got everyone absolutely smashed. I both do and don’t recommend :-). But each colour in this Lucia acrylic wear glass set (of four) will inspire a different cocktail or mocktail.

Is that not just asking for a Mojito? Making an epic Mojito is one of my super-powers. The glasses are sold in sets of 4 in a long stem coupe style. If you love a fancy picnic, I can’t think of any more perfect glasses.

Hmmm, what are we putting in this one? A pineapple-yuzu sort of affair? A very great advantage of these vintage style glasses are that they’re dishwasher safe – unlike actual vintage glasses. One of my friends always finds the most lovely glassware when she travels and she has sort of given us the bug for it. When we went to Colmar (the town that Christmas threw up on) we bought some beautiful, long stem liqueur glasses that are antique – we love getting them out but you need nerves of steel to wash them up.

Violet gin & tonic – has to be! It’s £32 for a set of 4 HERE. Have a happy weekend!

Oh these are lovely but I really need to have a glass tidy before buying any more. I know a lot of people decided to learn a language in lockdown….I learnt how to make mojitos!

We are guilty of too many glasses as well! And congratulations – mojitos are SKILLS!
