At £5 a pop, these HD Eye Foils from Freedom are right on the burnished, high sheen, sunset shade trend. They’re in a very flimsy package with the shadows designed to be put into a more solid palette (empty palette is £5 HERE) so you can build up a fabulous foil collection.

They’ve got similarities to Urban Decay Heat and also the Huda Textured Shadows palette but as far as I can see they’re not dupes (it would be a very fast dupe turnaround even for Makeup Revolution who produce Freedom).

As you can see, Metallic 2 is all foils – the swatch quality was good, as I’d expect, and the pigment is intense – also expected!

Metallic 1 is a mix of matte and metallics – but still with all the vibrancy you need. Before I had my Huda palette and UD Heat, I would never have opted for these colours but my Heat palette has been on several trips into London with me and I make everyone try it just so they can see how they liven the eyes in a way you wouldn’t think possible til you try (ask Hayley and Lex – two of my ‘No, just TRY it….’ victims!). I’ve made friends of all ages and all skin tones have a go and I have yet to find anyone who doesn’t suit this spectrum. So, what I’m thinking is that these are priced so well that you can have a go and I promise – even if you think you can’t, you can! I’d go for Metallic 2. They’re HERE.
