I liked the hair-feather look that made an appearance during the summer (and is coming back with a vengeance next spring/summer I am told) but didn’t especially like the fact that they were real feathers. These clip-ins have the feathery look but are actually made from synthetic hair (nicer for birds, definitely).
They usually cost £9.99 per pack of two extensions, but as a BBB reader, you can get a pack for absolutely free (you only pay postage) while stocks last. In four colour ways, Grizzly White/Black (shown), Desert Gold, Green Jewel and (my fave: shown) Brazilian Brown, they’re heat friendly, so can be curled, straightened, blow-dried or washed.
To use, simply trim the extensions to the desired length, open the clips and make a clear parting in your hair. Push the clip into the parting and press the clip down until closed, then brush so they blend with your natural hair.
Feleny, who is co-founder of Connect Hair Extensions, is a bit of a hair extension goddess and has styled Sharon Stone, Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole to name but a few. Oooh I’ve just ordered mine!! I was so tempted by the feather extensions so this is brilliant! Although in my excitement in trying to process it as fast as I could incase they ran out I ordered Brazilian brown to match my hair… now I’m thinking maybe the brighter/lighter colours would have been a better contrast… Oops! X
Just ordered mine, how exciting! I ordered the white one as I have reddish brown hair, and thought, rather than trying to match it, it would be better to contrast it. Thanks for the promo! 🙂
I know a woman called Ro, who runs a company called Feather Ray and they provide a very similar service, except she uses real feathers. She went round all the festivals this summer with great success, was used by Ralph Lauren at a function and has just set up in Topshop Oxford Street.
Just ordered mine!
Will do a blog post about them once I receive them (and once I’m off of my blog break in the New Year!)
Thanks!!!!
