Safe to say I fell in love with this room spray the moment I saw it! Fornasetti designs are so distinctive and striking. It’s almost immaterial to me what is inside the gorgeous ceramic cylinder that would have house space any day of the week, but actually the new fragrance Sole di Capri does match the exterior so perfectly that it is a perfect marriage.
When I smelled Sole di Capri, I got a kind of milky, warm wood scent; it’s certainly resinous, designed to capture high summer, and one of those fragrances that reminds you of everything about heat laden days straight away without necessarily reminding you of any one particular thing. It’s clever.
Fragrance fans will be interested to know that Sole di Capri is created by Emmanuel Philip, the name behind many of Cire Trudon’s candle fragrances. Variants are Scented Candle, Large Scented Candle and Room Spray – the Room Spray is shown above and costs.. eek.. £85. For a summer product, it’s launch date of September seems strange but maybe when we need a reminder of summer it will be the very thing.
