‘FLORA DI FORNASETTI’ SCENTED CANDLE

This candle is just too lovely for words; I adore the design and would give it house-room any day of the week. It’s a blessing then that it actually smells rather beautiful, too. A blend of ivy, lily of the valley, iris, jasmine, tuberose, sandalwood and musk isn’t overwhelming but just a lovely blend of clean freshness.

The design is what has me hooked, though. You can never really be sure of ‘inspirations’ because so much of it is clever marketing, but this candle is backed up by a vast archive of imagery created by Piero Fornasetti, not least this beautiful scarf. So, it is partly taken from the incredible library of designs and illustrations and party inspired by the gardens of the Fornasetti house in Milan. Either way, it’s fabulous. The face is that of operatic muse, Lina Cavalieri.

The candle launches into Selfridges shortly, but it’s very much a luxury at £99.

The design is fabulous! Disappointed by the color pallet, would of loved the vibrancy of Fornasetti to stand out! Not in love with the pink box ether, its a shame they are normally amazing with their colors!
