Fitflop Crush Boot

Regular BBB readers will know that I am a Fitflop addict. Ever since I was introduced to them a few years ago, I pretty well don’t wear anything else on my feet – I am ruined for stilettos, that’s for sure. For a start, they’re so comfortable and second, they’ve eliminated my persisent lower back pain, and I have to attribute that to Fitflops because nothing else has changed.

I do a lot of walking, from taking the dogs out every morning come rain or shine, to trecking around London when the traffic is so bad it’s quicker to walk. Yesterday, I road tested the new Crush Boot, and it was very timely because it was the Paralympic Torch day and traffic was at a complete stand-still. I don’t really have a single complaint about it.. it looks fab with skinnies and has a little leather trip around the cuff… I am always in skinnies, the rain bounced off them so I didn’t get wet feet (my hair, another matter entirely as I forgot an umbrella), I had no back-ache at the end of the day and I walked for miles, plus there’s a concealed wedge that just gives my short legs an extra boost.

However, because this range is a little more ‘fashion-y’, Fitflop tell me that if your feet are really wide, you won’t find Crush as ‘freeing’ as classic Fitflops. Although I hate the word ‘microwobbleboard’ technology, the fact that the soles are designed to reduce stepping pressure, diffuse under-heel spots and diminish shock when you walk as well as activate certain leg muscles, they’re perfect for comfort. Personally, I think the Crush is really styish too.. I can wear these with anything (okay, maybe not my ballgown) so by the time next spring comes, I will need to be surgically detatched from them.

They’re HERE if you want to have a look, and cost £130.

Oooooooh! They will be mine (possibly in more than one colour)! I too don’t ‘do’ any footwear other than Fitflops – they are bloody amazing and would dread to think what my back pain would be like if was not constantly in a pair.
