First Look: Bourjois Effet Smoky Liners

I’ve had a pre-release sample of these liners for a couple of weeks now and they are an instant hit with me. The one that’s become almost indispensible is Deep Green. The name is a rubbish description of what is a lively, teal-like shade thats minorly shimmer shot – enough to give more of a sheen than shimmer. Worn close to the lash line, it wakens up the eyes and looks absolutely stunning. The liner is double ended – at one end, the colour, at the other an excellent quality brush that allows you to work the liner into a smoke if you want to. The consistency of the colour is so creamy that this is easy to do. When you come across products like this for the very ungrand sum of £4.88, it makes me wonder how others can charge literally three or four times the price and still not come up with anything nearly as good. It’s on shelves from 25th November.

  1. How’s the staying power? Does it fade/smudge much during the day? And is the black one a true black or a bluey/grey black?

  2. Ooh, I like. I shall keep a look out for them!

  3. Holly – staying power is fabulous. Black is a true black but not intense black.
