Again, on the subject of Fiona Phillips’ Olay Ad. I hadn’t really listened to the dialogue properly, but now I have, I’m confused. Fiona begins by saying, “These days, I’m often asked whether cheaper anti-ageing products are a smart way to save money….” I can’t help wondering who exactly is asking this same question over and over of an ex-TV presenter who probably knows more about scheduling technicalities than the components of a beauty cream? The implication is that she is suddenly over-run with anxious questions about staying youthful on a budget…..but am baffled as to why anyone would think she might have the answers. Unless, of course, it’s just not true.

who cares what she uses? now a face cream endorsed by Charlotte Rampling or someone maybe.

It’s an odd choice of ambassador, isn’t it? Fiona Phillips doesn’t seem like a natural choice for a beauty guru to me either.

I can’t believe you would imply that they would make something like that up just to convince us to buy a pot of cream…. oh, hang on!

Good point, I had been wondering that too, never knew she was a beauty and make up expert. Still, I suppose since leaving GMTV, money talks……. whatever the occasion.
