Okay, so I am the first to admit that photography isn’t my forte – back in the day I used to get loads of complaints that my pictures were so bad! So, quite why it’s taken me five years to invest the princely sum of £34 on one of these, I don’t know. In fact, it was Mr BBB who took matters into his own hands and ordered one from Ebay.
So, it isn’t a really swanky studio but it completely does the job for what I need. It’s more or less pop-up, with all the lighting equipment and different colour backgrounds slotting into the carry bag.
In reality, I’ll be carrying this nowhere.. it’s not light for a start and also I don’t really need to take it out of my house.
This is it.. all the bits unwrapped and ready.
The lights (there are two) aren’t very strong – they no where near replicate studio lights, but I struggle in winter to get decent light to show colours properly and they are more than good enough to illuminate product. The most useful thing about this is the white background box – it seems to give cleaner shots and I can stop worrying about the unwashed dishes in the background!
Other points are that it’s quite cumbersome.. although it’s fold-away, in reality I take pictures every day so probably won’t be folding it away much and it does take up quite a lot of room. But, it’s solving more problems than its causing so I’d really recommend it as a very useful blogging tool.
Just Google it or find it on Ebay.. there are lots of different models.
