Etat Pur: A Micellar For Babies

So, I’m a big fan of Etat Pur (and of babies, to be fair); it’s very under-rated in the UK when actually, it’s a rather brilliant range. Their forthcoming Baby Sensitive range has only four products so far, with the gentlest possible formulas (and the reason I am including it here, because I am guessing it may work well for intolerant skin of any age). It’s free from fragrance, alcohol, parabens, phenocyethanol, sulfates and any listed allergens. In fact, Etat Pur initially formulated their baby-range a while ago, but had a toxicologist test it first so they could be absolutely sure there was nothing that could irritate. After the toxicology tests, they decided to take out the fragrance and make a few minor adjustments, just to be on the safe side. It contains Isodermic water, specially formulated to be in perfect affinity with the skin, and plant derived glycerine to soften and moisturise the skin.

So, baby-wise, you can use the micellar to cleanse baby faces, bodies and bums. It hasn’t quite launched yet, but when it does in a couple of weeks, there will also be a moisturiser for the face, a moisturising milk for the body and an ultra rich cleansing cream. Lucky babies, I say!

It’s sounds wonderful, I may have to purchase this range once I have my baby

Micellars for babies are nothing new. Bioderma has the ABC range in France, a whole litre of the stuff only is only about €10 and it seems to work just as well for Mum!

They’re pretty new to the UK.

I use Etat Pur Micellar Water every morning and evening and love it. I also have a 9 month old baby, so you’d think I would be the perfect customer. But in reality, I can’t see myself ever using it. With a newborn, I wouldnt want to use anything but pure water. And when they get older, like my crazy little loon, you need to be so quick when changing nappies and wiping faces that whipping a wipe from a packet in a second is the most taxing I could manage. Looking forward to the body lotion though, I would definitely use that.

I do like the look of it more because it has a pump and my ‘normal’ one doesn’t have one.
