I’m really starting to get a bit addicted to the make-up arm of the Lauder Re-Nutriv range. I have already tried – and loved – the Re-Nutriv Ultimate Radiance Make-up, but the Ultimate Lifting Creme is a step even beyond that. I love the texture – it really is creamy and makes skin feel super soft – this shade, Cashew, is perfect for my skin tone, and it blends so beautifully.

The sticking point is the price – £63 – which seems a lot for such a little pot. BUT, as you get older, I really think it is worth investing in foundations that do more than just give coverage. This claims ‘lifting’ benefits, just like the Re-Nutriv skin care, and while I must admit, I haven’t seen any lifting benefits (I haven’t really used it long enough to see any real skin care benefits), I’ll take what I can get.

It’s so strange that beauty editors aren’t ALL OVER this product – it’s genuinely a beautiful foundation; it stays put, feels wonderful and for mature skin-types, I think it’s a must-have. There are ten shades and I’ve just noticed that there is free postage and two free samples when you order this product. Find it HERE.
I’m giving it a BBB Recommends Award.

Perhaps it’s not getting a lot of love because it comes in a jar and is easily contaminated. There really isn’t any reason for this foundation to be in an open mouthed jar as opposed to a more hygienic sealed pump container.
I remember you mentioning the other formula… think I’m Pale Almond in EL but it’s been a while – must swatch these next time I’m in town.

I have this foundation and the texture really is something else, such a shame that the shade I have, radiant ivory is far too pink for me. x
Is it possibly not getting the love simply because it’s for mature skins?
I really do believe that the whole thing for mature skin and anti ageing is just a big money spinner. Nothing is going to “lift” the skin unless its surgery, and I am not advocating that, just trying to make the point about antiageing, skin lifting properties of lotions/creams. But if you like it use it, just do not expect miracles
I completely agree with you Mazie – I really don’t expect it to visibly lift – I also hate the term ‘botox in a jar’ because there is no such thing.. but I do think foundation with skin care benefits even if its just nurturing the skin more than a regular foundation would is worthwhile. x
