Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss and Lacquer
Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss and Lacquer

I’m so happy to kick off the new year with gloss – my favourite beauty product! I think we can ignore the sculpting part of the title in the 20 strong Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss and Lacquer (don’t try to say this after gin) collection. Split into three sections, Lacquer, Creme Gloss and Shimmer, these are as good (based one my one sample!) as glosses get.

The texture is light and whippy, non sticky (in as much as gloss can be) and very comfortable on the lip. The shade above is Flirtatous Magenta and it’s part of the shimmer selection, but it’s very low shimmer – more of a multi dimensional look than an actual full on shimmer. I’d never pick out this shade for myself, but on the lip it looks absolutely gorgeous – it’s a my-lips-but-better shade that makes you look as though you were born with those enviable ‘ruby’ tinted lips. Longevity isn’t awesome, but as a gloss lover I am used to reapplication so for me personally, this isn’t an issue.

The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Gloss and Lacquer range launches in February.
