Estee Lauder Pure Color Stay-On Shadow Paints Collection

Meet the Estee Lauder Shadow Paints! Launching in January 2013, they’re created by Tom Pecheux and ridiculously soft and silky…they feel almost weightless on the eye and yet are long wear – 12 hours! I haven’t put them to the 12 hour test yet, I must admit, but once you get the hang of them you can really play about with intensity levels. A tiny smudge will give a watercolour effect, while building gives a high, high level of colour as you can see in the swatches.

I’d say texture wise they’re a little like gel eyeliners in feel.. I have three colours here but there will be nine in total. We’re definitely going along an ‘art’ inspired theme here with Estee Lauder, and there is more arty-ness coming.

Shown here are Sinister (black), Extreme Emerald (green) and Steel (silver) and of the three, Steel has the highest shimmer count – the other two are fairly flat in colour but give a very strong eye look. Look out also for limited edition Gel Eyeliners and Mascaras in some very bold shades.

  1. EL is just going from strength to strength under Pecheux, huh? If you’d told me ten years ago that I, as a dark skinned gal with a love of colour, would be remotely interested in their products I would have snorted at you and pointed you to the massive gift basket of pigment-less, powdery, “mature” makeup products my poor feckless boyfriend of the time panic-bought me one Christmas. Bless him. And bless Tom Pecheux. I wouldn’t half mind a gift basket from there now!

  2. I hope this doesn’t mean they are getting rid of the doublewear cream shadows.

  3. Estee Lauder has really come a long way. I like the direction they are heading in, more daring and youthful.

  4. …..ehm i have to have these hahah! <3 love it
