If you’ve ever wondered who decides what colours we’ll be wearing for a particular season, there are various trend agencies worldwide who kind of set the style agenda, one of which is the Pantone Color Institute. They’ve named their top shades for 2011 and believe me, they’re all about the loud! Beeswax yellow, Peapod green, Regatta blue, Curacao turquoise and the colour of the summer – Honeysuckle, a vibrant mix of pink and orange. Honeysuckle is a bit of a moveable feast because there are many variations, so if you can’t find your own perfect honeysuckle hue in the new line up of 45 Pure Color Lipsticks, then I despair! Executed by Tom Pecheux, the range is manna from heaven for lipstick lovers; 27 colours for Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick which have high pigment and long wear in two textures – Satin Creme and Lustrous Shimmer, and 18 Pure Color Crystal Lipsticks in Sheer Creme and Brilliant Shimmer textures.
Alongside the lush lipstick line up is a new collection of 16 Pure Color Nail Lacquers, again under the watchful eye of Tom Pecheux who is dragging Lauder into another dimension make up wise. A limited collection of eight shades include Violet Diva, Mega Fuchsia (my surprise favourite for the smoothest finish I’ve known on a nail polish), Wicked Cypress (yes, EL made green nail polish *faints*), Wild Blue (*faints again*) and another favourite, the metallic finish Sizzling Taupe.

Purple Passion

Tempting Melon

Sizzling Taupe

Both collections are debuting at Harrods from 31st January and nationwide from 28th February 2011.

There is also a totally sizzling orange limited edition collection coming out – I have a little picture of Tom applying it on his hand (please excuse the orange juice!!) below but will post more when I have more images.
