So, the Estee Lauder Courreges collaboration is an interesting one… at the moment it’s flagging as US only for a March 2015 launch but if I hear differently, I’ll update. *Just heard it will be a spring launch into Selfridges.
What I find interesting is that the products are pushing the traditional EL boundaries – there’s a Hair Mascara for a start, as well as Lip Visor, a gloss with super-shine. To me the collection seems vintage futuristic – it’s captured the vision of the future from the perspective of the 1960s. For some reason, the Thunderbirds have shot into my head!
If you don’t know Andre Courreges as a fashion designer, this collection does really encapsulate what he’s all about. He was one of the first designers in the 1960s to incorporate PVC, metal and plastic in his designs – geometric in style and actually, almost impossible to wear!

You probably shouldn’t sit down in this one!
The Estee Lauder & Courrèges collaboration focusses on silver, black and white – all shades that are translatable to now.
I’d love to know which designer you’d like to see Estee Lauder collaborate with – I hope there are many more of these capsule collabs to come. Personally, I’d love to see a Mary Katrantzou range – imagine that!

What about a Pucci collaboration?
ooh yes, but Guerlain did one a few years back and it was gorgeous!
Sorry as a teen of the 90’s hair mascara does not scream prestige. The rest of collection is an interesting departure for them.
