I think that the Essie Autumn 2015 collection is the most traditionally autumnal that I’ve seen. It’s ages since I had a new Essie polish so I was quick off the mark getting one of them onto my nails. I love Essie polishes – always completely reliable in terms of texture and last. So, the first two shades in the above picture are Bell-bottomed Blues and Leggy Legend. Bell-bottomed Blue has shimmering accents of green, while Leggy Legend is a bronze-gold.

Next up are In The Lobby and Color Binge. It was actually Color Binge I had to get straight onto my nails but it’s a 3 coater unless you don’t mind a bit of show through. In The Lobby is a gorgeous, deep wine shade, and Color Binge is a zingy red-orange.

As you can see, first shade, With The Band is a dirty orange – a bit too russet and bricky for me, while Frock n Roll is a shimmer black with violet tones.

And here they all are together. Of the six shades, there are only two I wouldn’t wear myself – With The Band and Leggy Legend, but I do think that the shades capture the spirit of autumn and really are a reflection of the colours we’re seeing all around us now. I do find it really, really weird that you can’t buy this collection on-line at Boots or even on Essie.co.uk yet – you have to head to Nail Polish Direct (HERE) if you want any of the shades – and the bonus is that they’re a little bit cheaper on that site anyway.
