Er, Boots, A Little Housekeeping Maybe?

At my local Boots store I spotted this absolute mess of a display. If I was Garnier I’d be beyond livid. The promo spot is for the Garnier tinted Eye Roll On, and the liquid tint has been smeared, swiped and smudged all over the display. Despite two SAs within 3 feet of it, nobody looked in the least bit likely to do anything about it. It looks quite literally revolting.

  1. I’m afraid to say I’m thinking “dirty protest”. That’s shocking.
The SAs in Boots always look bloomin’ miserable. Have you noticed or is it just in my area?

Yuuuck. That looks worse than the Superdrug GOSH stands and I thought ming had peaked with those.

Eek. That would put me off from buying.

I have found that my tinted roll on leaks quite badly though, so probably doesn’t help with the mess. Mine leaked all over my make-up bag on a flight and despite cleaning it, now seems to constantly be a mess ever since.

Lol great post ! Goes along with my post about people’s ignorance when makeup shopping and using the actual stuff for sale as testers and then putting them back on the counter (see my post if interested: http://martiandelightsdicountmakeupcosmetics.blogspot.com/2010/04/saw-gross-est-thing-today-ewww.html)

I remember when the L’Oreal Roll on foundation thing came out — the counter was like a bomb had exploded in a pot of paint. Foundation smeared all over the cardboard.

Some people are just plain idiots 🙁

Yeah, definitely looks like a dirty protest to me too LOL!

  6. I’ve actually seen a few like that, the one near City Hall, London is particularly bad.

Mind you, I very rarely find the make-up stands in either boots or superdrug attractive. Over busy, dusty, untidy.

I find this really common in Boots stores – it really puts me off testing anything! I also get weirded out by the fact that they sellotape lipsticks and other products shut – I guess it’s to stop people using them as testers, but again it puts me off purchasing…

Theres really no need is there it would take like less than two mins for themm to clean that up!!

This is a common problem with any brand that doesnt have its own counter and sales team looking after it. Apart from Boots’ own staff who make sure their own range looks great, everyone else suffers.
