Emma Bridgewater Feels Like Home Collection
Milk bottle shapes are a ‘thing’. Even in cafes, you get your milk served up in mini-milk bottles, and I don’t know if Emma Bridgewater created the trend or rode it, but either way I love the look of them. The newest range of Emma Bridgewater for Marks & Spencer is the Feels Like Home Collection – with products for body and home fragrancing.
The scent of lavender, chamomile and orange blossom is really fresh and pretty – the inspiration for the range was washing drying on a line, newly waxed floors and summer herbs hung up to dry. As someone who has never waxed a floor in my life, I guess I’ll just have to go with it.
This is what Emma Bridgewater does best really – pings those home-maker emotions that most of us wish we had time and energy to actually do. In some ways it makes me feel a bit guilty that I’m not cultivating wild strawberries and drying my own lavender to make sleep inducing cushions while rustling up a Provence style dinner for the whole family to eat in my perfect garden. She creates the illusion of homes we wish we had, but few of us actually do, and I’m not sure if that makes me feel sad or happy.
The Emma Bridgewater Feels Like Home Collection does look lovely – it definitely brings something to the party design wise and I can’t imagine anyone not liking the clean and fresh scent. A few of the items have already popped up on the M&S website. The hand wash is £12 HERE, the hand cream is £8 HERE, and the body wash is £9 HERE. There are more items yet to roll out so keep an eye on the website.
I’m off to preserve things and knit a patchwork blanket.
