Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara
Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara

I’m really enjoying all the new products that Elizabeth Arden is coming out with at the moment and think that Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara looks very glamorous. I’m a happy tester of the water resistant formula because the cold weather makes my eyes water a bit!

What you’ll get from this formula is super dark lashes and a nicely spiky look. The claims are for volume and length, but I noticed length before volume so it’s a good one for those with a full lash fringe already who don’t want too much lash fatness. I noticed a little bit of clumping when I first applied, but I think it was because I had too much product on the wand – so a note here to check the wand brush is not overloaded in the first place.

I liked the curved brush which is grippy, but this is going to have a much better effect on long lashes and probably isn’t the right mascara if you have shorter lashes because it relies on being able to get some sweep. If there’s nothing much to sweep, you won’t get the curl effect. I wore it all of yesterday and true to claims it didn’t smudge or flake on me.

Even though it’s water resistant rather than fully water proof, I still needed a proper mascara remover to get it all off (which I think is a good sign in terms of staying power!). The other plus is that Elizabeth Arden Grand Entrance Mascara comes in dark brown as well as black.

This launches at counter tomorrow (1st Feb) with an offer to purchase for £15 instead of £22 if you trade in an old mascara (quick, find your emptiest one!).
