Edward Bess Sheer Satin Compact Foundation

I’m totally a fluid foundation person…can’t be bothered with minerals or stick or even compact foundations so the Edward Bess Sheer Satin Compact was a bit of a risk from the start. However, I’ve got to admit to being really impressed with the ease of use and the finish. I love the fact its got no discernable scent, the formula is very silky – light as air on the skin – and gives a light to medium coverage which is perfect for summer. It conceals minor imperfections with a finish that isn’t dewy exactly, and it isn’t matt either; it’s what I would call a natural skin finish. The most impressive thing however, is that my skin still feels moisturised at the end of the day, even when any coverage is starting to disappear. In a compact format, it’s much easier to do on-the-go foundation touch-ups – a benefit I hadn’t really considered before – but then, I’d never found a consistency in a compact that I could work with. It launches on Zuneta.com in September.

  2. Sounds good – I’m really getting into powder foundation x

  3. I can’t wait for this. Having seen it applied I can see it’s lightweight, a great formula and without a hint of cakiness which is all too often the case with compact foundation. Edward, you are my hero!!

  4. What shade is the foundation in the picture? And also for what skintones does the shade suit? Thanks, Lisa : )
