Dove DADI

It’s the teeniest picture but it’s quite hard to find anything decent on the Dove DADI hair diagonistic tool. It’s an interesting thing – basically, you run it through your hair and it’s able to tell how dry or damaged it is. Once you have a reading, then you can choose your product accordingly, which personally, I think it massively helpful particularly through the seasons when hair is subject to change in condition.

The downside is that it would have to be technician operated (we’re allowed to use straighteners on our own and lasers, but not this!) in-store, but as a wider tool, not connected to one particular brand, I can see this being completely handy, much like the new foundation finder gadgets (still brand allied). You’d be able to diagnose your hair and shop accordingly.

I think the Dove DADI tool may have launched in Asia but not here, and no signs either that I can find. Interesting, though, that this could have a future in how we shop for hair products.

You’ve pointed out why it has to be used by a ‘technician’ just replace that word with ‘sales person’, and you’ll be on the right track.

Ah, this is quite an exciting direction to go in! I wouldn’t say no to more info on my hair condition 😉
