I’ve created a Substack for those readers who don’t want to be exposed to the served ads running on the site now. It’s exactly the same as you will see here but completely ad free and with occasional extra content. I’m still working the platform out but I can say it’s incredibly easy to use – very intuitive and clear and dare I say it, a bit like blogging used to be before it got complicated. It’s £4.99 per month for at least 8 posts a week, but more usually 10-12, and you can comment and join in as much or as little as you’d like.

I keep occasional posts free for everyone to read but otherwise, paywall from the first paragraph – that means you can get a flavour of the post without having to opt in completely but eventually I hope you will be tempted to support it and no worries if not :-). I’ve popped a picture of the interface below so you can see how simple it is – for any budding bloggers or writers, I’d really recommend it as place to get your words down no matter what the subject. In fact, it’s a little bit addictive – I keep thinking I could do a gardening Substack (of course, I don’t have time!) or a baking Substack (still no time!) and I’m really proud of the 112 subscribers I’ve got so far. You can find it HERE.
