It’s fairly typical of Dolce & Gabbana to be untypical at Christmas. I have to say, I’m rather obsessed with the gold shot pink nail polish. It’s such a late drop of products that much of this has sold out on line at Harrods but still available at counter, so I’ll plough on just in case you’re dropping in! The blue shade, Royal Blue, is still available but there’s no trace of pink or gold.
I’m also very taken with the ‘mermaid’ shade eye colours – the one above is Royal Green and has a turquoise shift.
The deeper blue shade is also shifty – like a peacock tail – and is called Royal Blue, like the polish.
The highlighter is still in stock and it’s absolutely lovely – a champagne gold with some warmth to it that doesn’t over-glitter you but gives cheeks just a wash of sheen. I also like that it’s not specifically a Christmas thing – I can equally see this being very handy on summer cheeks, too. It’s £42 HERE.
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
You can see it’s all very vibrant and magical together and yet each product works alone as well – it’s making me think of swimming pools and hot days, not frost and mince pies but that’s the fun of it. Oh, I almost forgot – the Gold Kohl is £21 (and in stock). It’s really such a shame not to have been able to write about this before it disappeared but I guess that does tell you that I’m not alone in liking this alternative winter look.
