Dolce & Gabbana Ancient Coin

Oh, wow! Beauty doesn’t get much better than this, the Dolce & Gabbana Ancient Coin collector’s edition make up. If you follow Dolce & Gabbana at all, then you’ll know that coins feature often in their work as a symbolic reference to their roots in Sicily and Greece. It’s actually the profile of Greek goddess Athena on the bronzer, for any classics fans.

As you can see the Dolce & Gabbana Ancient Coin comes with a stunning red lipstick – it’s a blue toned red – a brand new shade – and a bit of a showstopper. It’s called Real Red and it’s in the shine formula (whew – so pleased it’s not another matte).

As you can see, the Dolce & Gabbana Ancient Coin comes in some heavyweight packaging – it’s so, so luxurious! You need to know that the Athena coin comes in an illuminator, too – I have the bronzer version here – it’s a high shimmer bronzer in a soft bronze – there’s not a trace of orange on this at all. However, it’s what I would describe as a glamour bronze – a lot of glints and light catchers and it’s probably for evening use. That’s if you can bear to use it at all – not sure I’m going to be able to, to be honest!

As you might imagine, the Dolce & Gabbana Ancient Coin Collector’s Make Up will be a Harrods exclusive – I hear from the 3rd November. The bronzer is £42 and the lipstick is £18.
