There is some very clever branding around this new fragrance, DKNY MYNY, aimed a younger age group than previous DKNY fragrances. DKNY MYNY (my New York) has that mass market vanilla/fruity appeal (for some reason it reminded me straight away of the smell inside Victoria’s Secret) so I’m sure it will do really well, but it’s definitely not to my personal taste. It’s supposed to capture the smell of New York and unless you count the inside of Victoria’s Secret on Broadway, you’ll need a spectacular flight of fancy to find the connection.
However, I totally love the bottle – DKNY always knock it out of the park with their wrappings. Referencing the New York skyline, it’s really something special. DKNY MYNY launches into Debenhams on 5th August, prices start at £37.
