This is one of the most exciting things I’ve seen for a very long time – I LOVE IT!!! Dior Velvet Eyes are adhesive extreme eyeliner patches to stick onto the lids and create a really statement eye look. They’re available in the Dior Boutique on New Bond Street and at the Dior counter in Selfridges tomorrow night (8th September) for Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out they’ll be applying them for you! A pack of four different designs is £47. There are two pairs of matte black patches with either a full, expressive line or slightly curved for a graphic eye. There is one pair of Effet Brilliant patches with black Swarovski micro-crystals on the line, and finally, a pair for couture looks with three Swarovski crystals at the corner of each eye.
I nipped up to the Dior office to take some pictures of them on as Charlotte at Dior was actually wearing them. I’ll just mention now that she used to be a model.
So, in normal day clothes they don’t look over-extreme – really wearable – but glam them up with evening looks and it’s all very, very sexy.

The big question is, how easy are they to remove, and how many times can you re-use them?
Oh they are uber duber femme fatalist, very Nico, if I was ten years younger I’d indulge.
Ooh I love them too! Especially as my eyeliner steady hand is lacking.
£47, that’s £11.75 worth a pop, assuming you can only use it once. Obviously too indulgent for me, but omg i am absolutely in love with this. Love love love the effect, it’s perfect, saves so much faff and looks like it would suit my droopy lids as well.
wow what a great idea, I’m definetely going to try them!!
These look gorgeous but I think they’re far too expensive for something that you could (in theory) replicate with liner and a bit of practice.
I like the idea but as everyone else said – how easy would they be to apply? Plus, everyone’s eye shape is different and a lot of people would probably need to reshape them a bit with nail scissors. Better off buying a liquid liner/ sealing gel and black eyeshadow for under £10 and creating them yourself!
will they be avaliable after FNO as im not going?
So these work better than the last ones you blogged about that curl up at the corners?
