Everything is looking very pretty for Dior spring 2014 – ribbons and bows galore for this collection. I think the most beautiful make-up I’ve ever seen was Dior Garden Party and this is on a par for sheer delight to the eyes.
The one thing I will say is that I think my picture editor is skewing the colours slightly and making them brighter than they actually are – I haven’t seen the products in the flesh yet and will take my own pictures (don’t groan!) when I do. This palette casing has appeared before as Cherie Bow and is back with a different insert. I’m never sure whether blush and eyeshadow, particularly when it’s dark shadow, so close together is a good idea.
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a lovely brush! Inspiration for the range comes from the private estate of Marie-Antoinette, Petit Trianon, in the grounds of Versaille – Versaille is a constant Dior inspiration. It’s definitely worth checking out the pictures of Petit Trianon HERE and some of the history; it’s surrounded by gardens and in the best French chateau tradition, they’re stunning.
There are better images at Chicprofile HERE with images of the full collection – wait til you see the Marie-Antoinette flowery hair promo images.. !
