There’s no getting away from the fact that natural and no make-up looks are a hot trend right now. I was in Selfridges today and couldn’t help noticing women with a lot of make-up looked, well, I won’t say wrong, because I believe you should wear the looks you like and not worry about trends, but they certainly looked maybe a little too glamorous. This is kind of what make-up trends do – they creep up on you imperceptibly and before you know it , thanks to a repeated message and imagery, you are starting to see beauty with different eyes. At some point in the future, when heavier make-up looks return, we’ll be looking askance at all the women wearing hardly any make-up and wondering why they look different.
Dior Lip Maximizer isn’t a new product, but if you’re embracing natural make-up, it’s one for your secret arsenal of minimalist chic. It falls somewhere between a clear and milky-pink coating that gives lips a push up with plumping ingredients. You won’t get a super big pout, but what it does is plump enough that your creases are smoothed out, which means that you can pop it under your regular gloss or sheeny lipstick (not matte) and that will look smoother, too. It’s a handy thing to have especially if you have lined lips. You won’t go WOW, but I think you will go Mmmm!
I’m even forgiving the mint-vanilla flavour as it’s very light – you will feel a mild tingle but for anyone who remembers Lip Venom – it’s nothing like that! The cheapest place I’ve found Dior Addict Lip Maximiser is Escentual for £19.10 (everywhere else, it’s £23) HERE but it’s not unusual for Dior Addict Lip Maximizer to be completely sold out everywhere, so if you see it, get it.
