Deica Candles

There’s no reason why you should have heard of Deica candles, as they’re a Japanese candle brand. BUT, their claim to fame is that they were chosen by Chanel in Japan to create a camellia shaped candle that was given to special customers in the Japanese Chanel stores in 2009. I know, I’ve really missed the boat on that one by three years and obviously cancelling my flight to Tokyo. Worse still, I can’t even get a decent image of it to drool over, but have found it on a Japanese blog so you can click through to look here: http://ameblo.jp/redheart-zirconmania/image-10378902068-10294100527.html
She’s a jewellery blogger so I think will be a little bit surprised to find a traffic surge from the UK! Deica didn’t stop there and went on to produce a crown shaped candle for Hermes. Their most current collaboration is a room fragrance with fashion brand Mastermind.

It’s really hard to get any decent images of Deica so am making do with what I have so that you can get a general overview. They’re an adventurous candle brand who also do room diffusers with gentle but complex scents. I hope a buyer picks up on them here. The red Love candle is embedded with Swarovski crystals, as is the black goblet. The more traditional looking candle is a scent called Silk Shuntung Diamond with the scent based on eucalyptus. Each candle comes with a Swarovski encrusted 24 carat gold plated ring (in size 9-10!) wrapped around the front, so even when the fragrance is burned away, you’ll still have the ring. Kinda romantic, I think.

That camilla candle is gorgeous! Clever you to have come across this. I had no idea Chanel did something like this, even if it was a one-timer.

I skimmed over it and thought that they were making a Masterchef candle O.O and I really want the one with the ring!!
